Saudi Arabia's Jubail Chevron Phillips (JCP) shut yesterday for scheduled maintenance and a catalyst replacement.
The Jubail-based producer has ethylene, propylene and styrene monomer production capacity of 205,000 t/yr, 150,000 t/yr and 750,000 t/yr respectively. The turnaround is expected to last for 41 days.
Fellow Jubail producer Saudi Chevron Phillips (SCP) will also have a 26-day turnaround in this year's final quarter. SCP produces benzene, cyclohexane and gasoline components with a production capacity of 835,000 t/yr, 355,000 t/yr and 804,000 t/yr respectively.
Saudi Industrial Investment and Arabian Chevron Phillips are 50:50 joint owners of SCP and JCP.
