The landlord of a Nashville scrap yard operated by SA Recycling plans to sell the riverfront property next month in an auction.
Icahn Enterprises hired commercial real estate firm CBRE to sell the 45-acre scrap yard next to Nissan Stadium on the east bank of the Cumberland River across from downtown Nashville, CBRE confirmed to Argus.
SA Recycling began operating an automobile shredder at the site after its $323mn acquisition of PSC Metals from the conglomerate Icahn Enterprises in 2021. Icahn retained ownership of the Nashville property as part of the deal.
SA Recycling did not respond to a request for comment. The Orange, California-based firm also operates a shredder and scrap yard on Nashville's west side farther down the Cumberland River.
