Dow reports Freeport, Texas flaring

Dow's Freeport, Texas olefins plant reported flaring yesterday after turboexpander tripped, causing the flaring of process off-gas, according to an emission report filed to state regulators.

Carbon monoxide, olefins, and NGLs flared from light hydrocarbon unit No. 8.

December ethylene traded at 55¢/lb this morning, 0.5¢/lb below where it last traded on 14 November.
