Oxy Vinyls' vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) plant in Deer Park, Texas, reported a hydrogen chloride (HCL) leak today, according to a message posted to a community hotline.

No offsite impact is anticipated and operations were expected to return to normal within an hour, according to the message.
