Updates first paragraph to indicate restart.
OCI Partners restarted the methanol and ammonia units at its plant near Beaumont, Texas today after a water pump feeding the methanol unit failed, forcing the shutdown of both units, according to a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
Because of the lack of available steam following shutdown of the methanol unit, the ammonia unit also was shutdown.
OCI's Beaumont facility can produce up to 730,000 t/yr of methanol and 265,000 t/yr of ammonia.
