OxyVinyls reports VCM leak at Deer Park

OxyVinyls reported emissions of vinyl chloride at its vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) plant in Deer Park, Texas, on Monday, according to a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

The leak, at a plug on the back side of a relief valve on a VMC transfer line, was isolated and taken out of service, the filing states.
