Universal Stainless ratifies new labor agreement

Pennsylvania-based Universal Stainless & Alloy Products (USAP) has reached a new labor agreement with its hourly employees at the Bridgeville facility in Pennsylvania.

The five-year collective bargaining agreement will be retroactive to 1 September 2018, the date the prior agreement was scheduled to expire, as employees continued to work under the old labor agreement, the company said today. The new contract continues the flexible work rule terms and profit-sharing incentives contained in the prior agreement.

The Bridgeville facility produces specialty steel products in the form of long products and flat rolled products. USAP also has production facilities in Titusville, Pennsyvlani; Dunkirk, New York; and North Jackson, Ohio.

Bridgeville-based USAP manufactures and markets semi-finished and finished specialty steels, including stainless steel, tool steel and certain other alloyed steels. The Company's products are used in a variety of industries, including aerospace, power generation, oil and gas and heavy equipment manufacturing.
