The Vallourec Star tubular mill in Youngstown, Ohio, suffered an outage after an incident near its electric arc furnace (EAF).
France-based Vallourec said the mill had an unspecified incident near the EAF during a steel casting operation. Vallourec reported that no equipment was damaged.
The facility was evacuated as a precaution and is expected to resume normal production in the coming days, Vallourec told Argus.
