In all, the Premier has been in public for more than 40 years, holding various portfolios including industrialisation, tourism and housing. The thrust of his administration as Sarawak’s sixth chief executive is to ensure that the State is able to embark on a full-pledged transformation capitalising on mega-trends around the world primarily globalisation, supply chain resilience, digitalisation, Industrial Revolution 4.0, circular and low-carbon economy as spelled out in the State’s Post-COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030). Under his bold and forward-looking leadership this transformation process is an embodiment of Sarawak’s aspiration to be a developed State by 2030 where data and innovation are the primary drivers of the economy. As a strong proponent of sustainable development and actions against climate change, the Premier has put Sarawak at the forefront of the pursuit towards a green economy and net-zero emission by 2050. He has been invited to share Sarawak’s experience at international and regional forums in the effort towards decarbonisation, energy transition and developing a hydrogen economy.

He is committed to building CBGEX into a global oriented national green exchange and building a “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" management public platform and green financial infrastructure. He will lead the team to support the construction of Beijing's global green finance and sustainable financial center in the direction of financialization, ecology, digitization and internationalization, serve the implementation of the national "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals", and promote the development of a green, low-carbon and high-quality economy and society. In May 2010, as a core member, he participated in the establishment of Beijing Financial Assets Exchange and served as vice president and executive vice president. She was formerly the Chief Strategic Officer of the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) of Malaysia from October 11 until September 2020. From September 2020 to August 2022, she joined Hibiscus Petroleum Berhad, Malaysia's first publicly listed independent oil and gas exploration and production compnay, to pursue her passion in energy transition under the capacity of the Vice President of New Energy Ventures.
