Brazil's waterway transport agency Antaq has suspended a tender for the installation of an LPG regassification terminal at the northeastern port of Suape.
The commercial proposals for the bidding, which had started in 2021, were scheduled to open on 10 February. Antaq suspended the tender as a precautionary measure in response to a claim by independent fuel importer Aruanã Energy that the tender's rules were inadequate.
The suspension is not final, but requires that the rules of conduct for the tender are sent to another department of the agency for "conclusive analysis".
