Feedgas nominations to the 18.1mn t/yr (2.4bn ft³/d) Golden Pass LNG export terminal in Texas are continuing to climb as the facility advances its ramp-up, pipeline data and a federal filing show.
Nominations to Golden Pass have hovered around 300mn ft³/d since 14 March, pipeline data show. The terminal, a joint venture between QatarEnergy and ExxonMobil, was nominated to receive 312mn ft³ on the 18 March gas day, which runs for 24 hours from 10am ET on 18 March, though nominations can be revised throughout the day. Flows averaged 203mn ft³/d over the seven days that ended on 13 March.
The increase comes as the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) signed off on Golden Pass LNG's latest request to commission parts of its first train. FERC granted a request on 18 March to introduce hazardous fluids to the dehydration regeneration gas system, part of the pretreatment for feedgas.
ExxonMobil chief executive Darren Woods said in January that Golden Pass would begin producing LNG in early March with the first cargo later in the month. Golden Pass has not confirmed first production and did not immediately respond to a request for comment detailing a potentially updated timeline on 18 March.
