Houston, 6 November (Argus) — Philadelphia Energy Solutions' 330,000 b/d refinery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, returned to full run rates today, more than a week after reducing production ahead of Hurricane Sandy's east coast landfall.
The refinery had sustained no damage but dealt with delayed waterborne crude deliveries following the massive category 1 storm's churn through the region.
“We are producing at full strength and we have been actively engaged with the US Department of Energy helping to relieve the gasoline and diesel fuel supply disruptions in the region's hardest hit areas,” spokeswoman Cherice Corley said this morning.
Philadelphia Energy Solutions is a joint venture of private equity firm the Carlyle Group and Sunoco.
