Universal Stainless & Alloy Products (USAP) today increased prices on all low alloy VAR quality bar products manufactured at its Bridgeville, Pennsylvania, North Jackson, Ohio, and Dunkirk, New York facilities.
USAP will increase base prices by 5-10pc on all new orders effective immediately. The Titusville, Pennsylvania facility, which produces customized shapes from coiled strip, flat and extruded bar for original equipment manufacturers, will not be affected by the price alterations.
Material and energy surcharges will remain unchanged.
"Given the current inflationary environment in metals, this price adjustment is necessary to support our ongoing reinvestment into our facilities to better serve our customers," said Chris Zimmer, chief commercial officer.
USAP manufactures and markets semi-finished and finished specialty steels, including stainless steel, tool steel and certain other alloyed steels. The Company's products are used in a variety of industries, including aerospace, power generation, oil & gas and heavy equipment manufacturing.
