The Saudi-led military coalition fighting Yemen's Houthi movement has told civilians to leave a fuel storage and distribution facility west of the Houthi-controlled capital Sana'a.

The coalition identified the site as state-owned Yemen Petroleum's al-Sabaha central station, around 10-12km west of the city, and published a map showing its location. It said civilians should leave for their safety.

The Houthis initially responded by threatening a "harsh and painful" retaliation in Riyadh if Sana'a was attacked. They later warned workers to stay away from Saudi Aramco sites and other oil facilities across Saudi Arabia because they could be targeted. The group also renewed earlier warnings to airlines, passengers and airport workers.

The warnings follow two attacks on Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport over the weekend that killed at least 14 people, including 13 on 10 October and one the next day.

The coalition said it would respond "decisively" to the 10 October attack, which it described as a war crime.

The Houthis have previously threatened and targeted Saudi oil facilities. They claimed attacks on Saudi Aramco's Shedgum and Tanajib gas plants over the weekend, but the claims have not been independently verified and Aramco has not confirmed them.
