Kenya is buying gasoline and diesel for June delivery through its monthly tender.
Domestic marketer Gapco is supplying the 185,000 bl of gasoline for 18-20 June delivery to Mombasa's Kipevu oil terminal (KOT), after winning the tender with an offer of a $15/t premium to Mopag prices on a cfr basis.
Gapco is also supplying 144,000 bl of jet fuel for 26-28 June delivery at a premium of $23.10/t to Mopag prices on a cfr basis.
Gulf Energy won the tender to supply 260,000 bl of 0.5pc diesel for 30 June-2 July delivery to KOT, at a $23.98/t premium to Mopag prices on a cfr basis.
The 70,000 b/d Mombasa refinery accounts for 50pc of Kenya's requirements, with the balance met through imports of refined gasoline, diesel and jet fuel.
Kenya has a tender to buy crude for the Mombasa refinery but it has not been finalised.
