Brazilian power regulator Aneel will hold two public hearings for power trading on 23 March.
The first hearing will discuss the consolidation of the regulation for authorizing energy trading. The hearing will be transmitted on Aneel's YouTube channel at 9:30am local time.
The second hearing will discuss trading procedure rules. Aneel identified 90 items related to the topic that will be reviewed and consolidated by 31 March. The hearing will also be transmitted on Aneel's Youtube channel, at 11am local time.
Both revisions were proposed by the need to update terminology, improve the understanding of regulatory commands or simplify the language, and did not involve any changes of merit, according to Aneel.
