Brazil's state-controlled Petrobras will restart the privatization process of its 484MW thermal plant UEG Araucaria (UEGA), in Parana state.
The plant is equipped with two gas turbines and a vapor turbine and has been in operation since 2002. Petrobras owns 18.8pc of the plant's stocks. State-owned utility Copel and Copel's generation branch are also putting their respective 20.3pc and 60.9pc shares for sale, Petrobras said.
The Araucaria plant operates as a merchant thermal plant and sells gas on the spot market.
Petrobras has published the sale teaser on its website.
