New holding company Cosan Dez secured shareholder control of gas distribution and trading company Compass on 23 December.
Cosan Dez is a new subsidiary of Brazilian conglomerate Cosan, which previously held 88pc of Compass' stock — all of which was transferred to Cosan Dez.
Brazilian bank Bradesco acquired 23pc of Cosan Dez on the same date, Cosan said. The bank bought R4bn ($777.53mn) in preferred shares.
