State-controlled Pupuk Indonesia has issued a tender to sell 45,000t of granular urea from Kaltim and 5,000t of prilled urea from Palembang for shipment between August and the first half of September.
The tender is to close on 9 August. It marks the fertilizer group's return to the export market since its sales in early May. The producer was occupied by internal matters and domestic market commitments during June-July.
Pupuk Indonesia last sold 30,000t of granular urea in early May in the low-$330s/t fob for shipment between the second half of May and early June.
Granular urea bulk prices in southeast Asia have been rising since 6 July, with latest prices assessed by Argus at a midpoint of $417.50/t fob on 3 August. Prilled urea prices in southeast Asia are also on an upward trend, with latest assessed prices at a midpoint of $415/t cfr on 3 August.
