US corn, soy, wheat exports on brisk pace

US corn, soybeans and wheat weekly exports were on a brisk pace for the week ending 7 September, according to the US Department of Agriculture.

In the second week of the 2023-24 marketing year, 753,000t of US corn was sold, according to the USDA. The main buyers were China, Colombia, and Mexico with 173,000t, 147,000t and 129,000t, respectively.

For US soybeans, in its second week of the 2023-24 marketing year, 703,000t were booked, with China the largest at 295,000t and the EU booking 125,000t.

Wheat, in its 15th week of the 2023-24 marketing year, had 437,000t booked for the current week, above the 282,000t weekly average needed to meet the USDA forecast.

For the current week, Mexico booked 112,000t and Canada purchased 31,000t, the rest of the demand came from Asia with Thailand, Japan, Vietnam and South Korea, booking 58,000t, 52,000t, 45,000t and 40,000t, respectively.
