US winter wheat conditions deteriorated by 3 percentage points from the prior week, according to the US Department of Agriculture (USDA).
US winter wheat conditions for the week ending 12 November decreased to 47pc rated good to excellent (G/E) compared with the prior week rating of 50pc. Montana, South Dakota, Washington and Texas, representing 21pc of US production, were the main reasons for the rating deterioration.
The winter wheat planting is almost complete with 93pc of the crop planted, in line with the five-year average.
US corn and soybean harvesting is nearing completion with corn harvesting at 88pc complete compared with the five-year average of 86pc and soybeans at 95pc complete compared with the five-year average of 91pc.
