Planting for Brazil's 2023-24 soybean crop remains behind the previous season's pace, according to national supply company Conab.
• Soybean: Progress nationwide was 89.9pc complete as of 9 December, 6 percentage points behind the 2022-23 crop's progress a year prior. Activities in southeastern Sao Paulo state are done.
• Summer corn: Planting for the 2023-24 crop is 10.7 percentage points behind the previous season's pace, with 65.9pc completed. Parana and Santa Catarina states finished sowing.
• Wheat: Harvesting is virtually complete, with 99.9pc of progress, 1.4 percentage points ahead of the previous season's pace a year earlier. Santa Catarina is the only state where activities are not complete.
