Indian fertilizer importer Hindustan Urvarak and Rasayan (Hurl) received a lowest offer of $809.75/t cfr from a trading firm in its tender to buy 50,000t of DAP, which closed on 18 August.
Another trading firm offered at $840/t cfr.
Both trading firms offered open origin DAP.
The tender was only open to suppliers with which Hurl has signed a memorandum of understanding.
Hurl is seeking black, dark brown, brown or dark grey DAP for shipment from the loading port by 31 August and delivery to India's west coast, stating a preference for Kandla port. It said it will consider offers for a minimum quantity of 25,000t.
The lowest offer in this tender is broadly in line with latest DAP sales to India at $810/t cfr.
Hurl will close a tender to buy another 50,000t of DAP, but for delivery to India's east coast, on 21 August.
