Americas-focused copper mining company Capstone Copper has issued a tender to buy 120,000t of sulphuric acid for arrival to Chile at Mejillones or Barquito between October-December.
The tender, due to close on 10 September, requests eight lots of 15,000t for fourth-quarter delivery.
Meanwhile initial indications from the market suggest lowest offers in Argentina based Bunge's tender, which closed on 4 September for 18,000t for arrival between 11-21 November, were in the $130s/t cfr. No award has yet been confirmed. Basis freight estimates of around $50/t for two port discharges into Argentina, delivered numbers, at this level would theoretically netback to the $80s/t fob Europe.
