Ukraine's exports of main grains wheat, barley and corn rose in the week to 13 October, but continued to lag year-earlier levels, according to customs data.

Ukraine exported 384,000t of wheat in the latest reporting week, compared with 363,000t a week ago. This brought overall exports since the start of the 2025-26 marketing year on 1 July to 5.18mn t, below the 6.62mn t exported by the is time last year (see wheat chart).

Ukraine also exported 72,000t of barley in the week to 13 October, up slightly from 68,000t a week earlier. Total barley exports in the 2025-26 marketing year starting 1 June have reached 939,000t, down from 1.45mn t a year earlier (see barley chart).

Ukrainian exporters shipped 93,000t of corn in the reporting week, bringing overall exports from the start of the 2025-26 season on 1 October to 125,000t. This is the lowest exports for this period since 2021-22 (see corn chart). Ukraine's corn exports are likely to fall significantly in October compared with a year earlier because of harvest delays. Ukrainian farmers had harvested only 3.5mn t of corn from 638,000 hectares (6,380km²) by 9 October, compared with 10.6mn t from 1.96mn ha a year earlier.
