Kuwait's state-owned sulphur producer KPC has set the September Kuwait Sulphur Price (KSP) at $865/t fob Kuwait, unchanged from August.
Freight rates were last assessed at $145-160/t for a 30,000-35,000t shipment to Chinese ports on 27 August.
Additional costs are set to bring delivery costs up to as high as $200/t for a 30,000-35,000t vessel, accounting for both freight and additional insurance premiums payable for vessels willing to accept a higher risk of entering the strait of Hormuz, implying a delivered cost of $1,065/t cfr China.
