The vessel Panamax Breeze has left the Mideast Gulf through the strait of Hormuz carrying around 55,000t of Saudi Arabian phosphorus fertilizers — likely to be DAP — according to vessel-tracking data.

The cargo loaded at Ras Al-Khair port over 23-24 October and is bound for Kakinada on India's east coast.

The Panamax Breeze follows these vessels, which crossed the strait of Hormuz in October with Saudi Arabian phosphates:

  • Leem loaded 54,000t of DAP at Ras Al-Khair over 14-18 October and arrived at Mundra on India's west coast on 28 October
  • Kmax Evdokia loaded around 76,000t of DAP at Ras Al-Khair over 4-9 October and arrived at Kandla on India's west coast on 16 October
  • Safeen Al Nour loaded around 60,000t of DAP at Ras Al-Khair over 25-30 September and arrived at Mundra on 10 October

The vessel Xin Hai Tong 27 is currently loading around 55,000t of phosphorus fertilizers — also likely to be DAP — at Ras Al-Khair, and understood to be destined for India.

The shipments show a recovery in phosphates exports from the Mideast Gulf. But traders are still reluctant to buy cargoes on a fob Ras Al-Khair basis.

Earlier this month, Saudi Arabian producer Maaden reported selling three DAP cargoes to three Indian importers totalling 120,000t at $900-904/t cfr sight.

No DAP sales to India have emerged this week. Offers for Saudi Arabian DAP are at $900-902/t cfr, while indications from trading firms and Indian importers have softened to the $880s/t cfr.
