Andrew Hoare

Andrew Hoare is the Head of Fortescue Marine Systems and Green Shipping at Fortescue (ASX: FMG). Fortescue is an integrated green technology, energy, and metals company, recognised for its culture, innovation; and industry leading development of infrastructure, mining assets and green energy initiatives. Andrew has 30 years’ experience in the maritime and energy sectors holding leadership positions at BW including CCO of BW LPG, COO of Navig8 Group and various senior positions at Pacific Carriers and Clarksons.

Andrew holds a Master of Arts (Honors) in Management with International Relations from the University of St Andrews, Scotland and a Master of Business Administration from Hult Ashridge, UK. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers; an accredited CEDR meditator and sits on the Board of the Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration (SCMA)

He is also Chairman of the National Technical Committee for Bunkering (Cryogenic and Gaseous Fuels), Singapore. A certified chartered ship broker, Saunak and has been recently appointed as the Vice Chairman of the Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers Singapore and is a board member of IBIA Asia.

Mahua Mitra has worked with Argus since 2013 and is the Asia Pacific editor for marine fuels. She was leading the bitumen desk for the Asia-Pacific and the Middle East markets from Oct 2020 to May 2023. Prior to this, she also co-led the Asian petrochemicals desk within Argus, covering aromatics, methanol, polymers and olefins. She has more than 20 years’ experience working as a journalist and editor with various publications in Singapore and India.

Muhamad Fadhil

Muhamad Fadhil is Senior Vice President, Strategy and Business Development at Argus, focusing on Asia expansion sectors and strategic initiatives. Before joining Argus, Fadhil was Head of Middle East Markets for ICIS in Dubai, where he led market engagement and strategy. He also previously worked for Channel NewsAsia, Hill & Associates and the O&S Group of Companies. Fadhil holds master degrees from IE Business School and the National University of Singapore. He is currently a doctoral student at Warwick Business School, specialising in energy transition.

Becky Zhang

Becky Zhang works for Argus in a role of Asia petrochemical analyst, mainly covering Asia’s olefins and methanol markets. She has over ten years of real-time market editor work, familiar with chemical market dynamics particularly on China market and has wide industrial networks. She has also spent two years particularly in consulting service as a project manager focusing on China market and led projects in various industries, including refinery, olefins, polymers, coal and methanol. Becky is also a regular presenter at olefins and methanol conferences and forums. Becky is a chemical engineering graduate from East China University of Science and Technology, and holds two masters’ degrees in Environmental and Energy Engineering from the University of Sheffield (2001-2002) and Entrepreneurship from the University of Nottingham (2002-2003).
