Canadian integrated steelmaker ArcelorMittal Dofasco raised its flat steel prices late last week.
The company increased prices by C$70/short ton (st) ($51/st) for all new orders, according to an announcement from 16 December.
The mill joined its US compatriot AM/NS Calvert mill and competitors Cleveland-Cliffs and NLMK USA in increasing prices last week, with those US mills in the $50/st range.
Cleveland-Cliffs raised its minimum hot rolled coil (HRC) price to $750/st.
