Japanese automaker Honda expects its US sales to improve in 2023 on more supply even as it continues to deal with logistics issues.
Like many in the auto industry, Honda is "not completely out of the woods with supply issues yet," vice-president of sales Mamadow Diallo said.
Honda expects higher production in 2023 to increase its sales of up to 1.2mn vehicles in the US, up by 20-25pc compared with 2022.
American Honda began 2023 with double the amount of inventory compared with the prior year at 17 days' supply.
Supply chain shortages could have the North American auto industry losing otherwise expected production of 900,000 vehicles in 2023, according to estimates by AutoForecast Solutions at the beginning of the year.
