US steelmaker Nucor kept its spot hot-rolled coil (HRC) prices flat for a ninth week.
The company's consumer spot price (CSP) was flat at $750/short ton (st) for all of its flat-rolled steel mills outside of California.
In California, the HRC price was flat at $810/st. Lead times were unchanged at three to five weeks.
The company has not changed its HRC CSP since 12 November.
The Argus US HRC Midwest and southern assessments were flat on 7 January at $670/st and $680/st ex-works, respectively. The Argus Midwest HRC lead time was flat at 3.5 weeks.
The US HRC Midwest price last fell on 10 December by $10/st to its current level.
