Indian fertilizer importer IPL has countered DAP offers under its tender to buy 1.2mn t, which closed on 7 May.
IPL has asked suppliers to meet the lowest prices received in the tender at $935/t cfr east coast India and $930/t cfr west coast.
Suppliers have until 11 May to respond to IPL's counter-bids.
Trading firm Indagro had submitted the lowest offers, offering 40,000t for the east coast and 30,000t for the west coast.
IPL received DAP offers from 18 trading companies and producers totalling 2.325mn t in the tender. DAP offers for delivery to India's east coast amounted to 965,000t, while DAP offers for delivery to the west coast came to 1.36mn t.
IPL has not yet responded to the offers for TSP that it received in the tender, which totalled 410,000t.
