ExxonMobil has announced a posting increase on its Group II+ and extra-light Group II grades, set to take effect 15 October.
The company will increase its Group II+ N110/130 grade and its Group II N60/70 grade by 71¢/USG.
The Group II+ grade often competes against re-refined Group II+ grades and virgin Group III grades. Both are firming because of tight supplies and strong demand for related lubricants, particularly in the full-synthetic and semi-synthetic sectors.
Extra-light base oil grades, such as the N60/70, can be cracked into fuel production, especially for diesel.
There were no announced moves from ExxonMobil on either of its Group I or Group II grades.
Motiva also announced more posting increases on its Group II/II+ and Group III grades this month.
