BASF experienced an upset at its Pasadena, Texas plant that resulted in a unit shutdown late yesterday, according to a message posted to a community hotline.
The notice described an "overpressure in our reactor system" and noted "the reactor's safety system immediately shut the plant down." The message did not say which unit was shut down or when it would restart.
