Celanese announced 7 March it will increase prices on vinyl acetate-based emulsions sold in the Americas.
Prices for PVAc homopolymer, vinyl acetate ethylene (VAE) and vinyl acrylic emulsions will all increase 3¢/wet lb effective 1 April, or as contracts allow.
The Irving, Texas-based specialty materials company said this increase is in addition to the previously announced 4¢/wet lb increase effective 1 February.
The increases impact applications including adhesives, paints, nonwovens, and carpet.
