Abu Dhabi's state-owned Adnoc today set its August official sulphur selling price for the Indian subcontinent at $107/t fob Ruwais, up by $25/t on its July OSP.
This follows a rise of $2/t in July and a drop of $7/t in June.
Adnoc's August official selling price implies a delivered price of $130-131/t cfr India, with the freight cost for a 40,000-45,000t shipment to the east coast of India last assessed at $23-24/t on 25 July.
Fellow regional sulphur marketer Muntajat/Qatar Energy on 30 July announced its August price at a similar level at $106/t fob, also up by $25/t on July's OSP.. This sets the expectation for a stronger market in August for tonnes lifted from the region, following a stable first half of the year.
