Singapore, 27 October (Argus) — Nymex crude futures were largely steady in today's after-hours trade, hovering below $79/bl.

At 08:04 GMT the front-month Nymex December WTI crude contract was at $78.78/bl, higher by 10¢/bl from its close yesterday when the contract fell by $1.82/bl.

The front-month Ice December Brent crude contract rose by 7¢/bl to $77.33/bl.

Nymex November heating oil rose by 0.96¢/USG to $2.0431/USG, while Nymex November RBOB gasoline rose by 0.65¢/USG to $2.0403/USG.

Weaker equities markets have put some downwards pressure on oil prices, as the outlook on a global economic recovery remains hazy. Nymex crude prices have slipped the past few trading sessions, after hitting a 12-month high of $82/bl on 21 October.
