Singapore, 9 February (Argus) — Nymex crude futures were firmer in today's after-hours trade on cold weather in the US.

At 08:30 GMT the front-month Nymex March WTI crude contract was at $72.03/bl, rising by 14¢/bl from its close yesterday when the contract ended 70¢/bl higher.

The Ice March Brent contract rose by 19¢/bl to $70.30/bl.

Nymex March heating oil rose by 0.59¢/USG to $1.8814/USG, while Nymex March RBOB gasoline was unchanged at $1.8940/USG.

American Petroleum Institute stocks data will be released later today. Colder weather may have pulled US distillates stocks lower, although the market is expecting US crude stocks to have risen.
