Greek shipowner Latsco has taken delivery of its 173,400m³ Hellas Athina newbuild LNG carrier.
Latsco received the LNG vessel from South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Samho Heavy industries (HSHI), with the carrier leaving the shipyard on 1 September. This is Latsco's second LNG carrier, after taking delivery of the 173,400m³ Hellas Diana from HSHI in April.
There are three more newbuild LNG carriers expected to be delivered from global shipyards in September. Greek shipowner Maran Gas is set to receive the 174,000m³ Maran Gas Kalymnos and the 174,000m³ Global Sea Spirit, while fellow Greek shipowner Capital Gas is awaiting delivery of the 174,000m³ Asklipios, which is undergoing gas trials offshore South Korea.
