India's stocks of NP and NPK fertilizers fell by nearly 681,000t in July, latest Fertilizer Association of India (FAI) data show.
India produced almost 1.08mn t of NPK and NP complex fertilizers in July, a 9pc rise over the same month last year. Imports fell by nearly 20pc year-on-year to 315,000t in July.
Sales were 2.07mn to in July, a 18pc increase compared to July 2024.
Meanwhile, cumulative stock draw/build — defined at production plus imports minus sales — stood at negative 680,800t, marking a second consecutive monthly fall after stocks fell by over 400,000t in the month of June.
This brings cumulative production to 3.74mn t in the first four months of the fertilizer year, which runs from April to July, while cumulative imports stood at 1.27mn t, and sales for the fertilizer year to date totalled 5mn t.
