Canadian mineral exploration company Libra Energy Materials bought all shares of Cayman Islands-based Brion Minerals, gaining full ownership of 30 lithium and rare earth projects in Brazil.
The acquisition, worth around C$450,000 ($325,000), will allow Libra to access 21 hard-rock lithium projects, eight graphite operations and one cobalt-nickel site spanning at least six states, it said.
Libra expects to close the deal by 30 September.
The lithium projects span around 23,000 hectares (230km²) and four states, with at least two sites showing potential to be a multi-metals mining facility.
All projects are in early exploration stages and have no timeline to start operating.
