Dow Freeport maintenance begins

Dow will clear an ethane/propane line at its Freeport, Texas light hydrocarbons unit No. 8 today to perform a regulatory inspection, according to a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

Emissions of carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and propane may continue through 18 April, according to the filing. The Freeport plant can produce up to 3.3bn lb/yr of ethylene.
