Buckeye says Corpus Christi LPG storage in service

Buckeye Partners' 1.1mn bl refrigerated LPG storage capacity in Corpus Christi, Texas, is now in service, the Houston-based company said in its earnings call today.

"These assets provide Trafigura, our partner and customer, with world-class marine terminaling, storage and processing capabilities on the Gulf Coast," said chief executive Clark Smith.

Buckeye's 50,000 b/d condensate splitter, which will be located near the LPG storage at its Buckeye Texas Partners (BTP) facility in south Texas, is nearly complete.

Trafigura exports LPG, much of it butane, from Corpus Christi.
