Argus revised up its wheat production estimate for Russia's 2025-26 crop to 86.1mn t from 84.8mn t previously, because of raised yield expectations, according to Argus Consulting.
Argus previously expected production near 85mn t following a virtual crop tour conducted in June. The production figure does not include production in the disputed region of Crimea, annexed from Ukraine in 2014.
Production in southern regions, such as Rostov and Krasnodar, was constrained by dry conditions, but this was partially offset by good conditions in Volga and central regions.
