Australian gas developer Armour Energy has signed an initial deal with Aeon Metals to supply 1-2PJ/yr (26.7mn-53.4mn m³) to its Walford Creek lead, zinc and copper project in northwest Queensland.
Walford Creek is 10km northwest from Armour's 100pc owned ATP1087 exploration permit.
Armour in June signed a similar deal with Australian pipeline operator APA to work together on delivering 330PJ/yr of gas from Armour's interest in the Macarthur basin that straddles the eastern Northern Territory (NT) and Queensland. This will linking the NT and Australian east coast gas markets with a new pipeline. An investment decision is unlikely to occur within the next two years, as APA has already outlined its planned pipeline expansion projects during this period.
