Intergulf Corp., which blends aromatics, vacuum gas oil, waxes, olefins, naphtha and other products at its Pasadena, Texas facility, on Monday filed for a permit to build a petrochemical storage facility near La Porte, Texas.
The permit filed Monday with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality offered no further details regarding the size of the project or what materials it would handle. A query to Intergulf wasn't immediately returned.
Intergulf also operates a marine terminal on the Houston Ship Channel for processing and recycling used oil and vessel waste.
