Flint Hills Resources (FHR) de-inventoried a distillation tower attached to an aromatics unit at its Port Arthur, Texas facility over the weekend after a pipe leak was discovered near an exchanger in the unit, according to a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
The work to isolate and stop the leak resulted in emissions of benzene and triethylene glycol, according to the filing.
