Sudip Shyam
Global Head Base Oils, Mocoh

Mr. Sudip Shyam was appointed Global Head Base Oils in Mocoh Group in 2020 and has been instrumental in setting up and profitably leading a global team and base oils trading slate. With a career span of over 25-years in the oil & gas industry, Sudip has extensive experience in Setting up Business Units, Recruitment, General Management, International Trading, Sales & Business Development, Technical Services and Supply Chain Management in the petroleum industry (Base Oils Trading, Automotive / Industrial / Specialty Lubricants). Sudip had been instrumental in creating & running a global base oils trading slate during his GP Global Group years while also leading its finished Lubricants Business. His past work experiences include Heading Base Oils Trading Desk at Optima Energy SA, Geneva, Switzerland; earlier, he also headed Lubricants Business for CONOIL Plc, Nigeria, and prior also worked with Valvoline, TOTAL, CASTROL and GULF OIL in India.

Ali Al-Ganzory
Senior Base Oil Trader

Ali is a highly accomplished professional with a proven base oil trading and market development track record. Over the course of his successful career spanning more than a decade, Ali has consistently driven business growth and expanded market presence in key regions like Latin America, Africa, and the Mideast. Currently holding the Senior Base Oils Trader position at BGN, Ali is dedicated to driving the company's expansion and establishing a strong presence in the base oil market. His extensive expertise and deep industry knowledge have enabled him to successfully enter new markets in various regions. Ali's educational background includes a Master of Business Analytics degree, which has equipped him with a strong foundation in data science, big data analysis, predictive modelling, and business intelligence. This combination of practical experience and academic knowledge positions Ali as a highly capable and reliable professional in the base oil trading industry.

Mario Majic
Head of Strategic Business Development, AVISTA OIL AG

Mario is responsible for the development of the corporate communication programme including all marketing activities, e.g. successful rebranding of the companies brands and introducing a new brand to the market. Mario is also responsible for maintenance and development of all corporate governance issues including risk and compliance management, being in charge of all strategic and commercial projects that encompass M&A activities, JV possibilities, sustainability management, and more.

Siddharth Sachdeva
Managing Director, Trinity Lubes and Greases

After gaining his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in CS Engineering from Warwick University, UK, Siddharth then went and gained his MBA from IIM in Bangalore, India. Further, he pursued a strategic marketing programme from the University of Michigan, US. Using his education experience, Siddharth drove the technology changes within the family business and focused on corporate culture within the group upgrading the same to the level of being one of the great lubricant and grease companies worldwide. The group is known for its dedication and attention to detail which has brought the world's greatest brands to their doors and they can boast customers such as Castrol, Shell, Mobil, Valvoline, Fuchs, Indian Oil, as well as Timken and SKF to name but a few. With four plants in India the family looked to expand abroad and under Siddharth's leadership the group built and commissioned their new plant in the UAE, a technological state-of-the-art lubricant and grease plant on the inner harbour of the Hamriyah Free Zone. This is the first of its kind in the region, being a fully automated, PLC controlled grease and lubricant plant run on ABB technology.

Sreehari Kumar
Product Manager Commercial Engine Oils (India, Middle East & Africa), Lubrizol Additives

Sreehari has overall 12 years of professional experience in the Additive & Oil Industry in Lubricant Technical Services in Crankcase Engine Oil Product Development & Application Engineering. Sreehari has completed his bachelor's in mechanical engineering from Mumbai University in the year 2010 and received Special Recognition Awards for Technology Differentiation and product development in the Engine Oil Segment.

Ali Korri
General Manager, A&K Autoteile GmbH – Part of Korri Group

Ali studied in Germany and France in Engineering and Business, followed by experiences at Continental Automotive and KPMG Consulting in Germany before joining Korri Group full time in 2018. Currently carrying the role of General Manager of A&K Autoteile GmbH, the German entity in a group of companies in the business of spare parts distribution. The group is one of the largest parts distributors and workshop service providers in West (and Central) Africa, with entities in Ivory Coast, Nigeria and DR Congo and in the Middle East (Lebanon and UAE). The group also has also private labels ranging from parts (Rheinmann and Newtech Alfa) to lubricants (Deutschöl) and batteries.

Chen Yinshuai
Senior Business Director, Wuchan Zhongda Chemical Group

Mr. Chen Yinshuai is currently the Senior Business Director of Zhongda Chemical Group Co., Ltd. He is responsible for managing the business of five departments of the group, including the Oil and Gas Industry Department, Industrial Research Department, Transaction Management Department, Investment and Finance Department, and International Trade Department. He has over 15 years of management experience in the oil and gas trade, futures trading, and industrial investment.

Nikhil Agarwal
Managing Director, Globestar Energy FZE

Mr Nikhil Agarwal is a dynamic, result oriented leader with a rich experience of 25 plus years in Fortune 500 organisations. He is an engineer and holds an MBA (Marketing & Sales) and MBA (Energy Management) from University of Houston, Texas and Indian Institute of Management. Mr Agarwal used his deep industry knowledge, strong educational background and commercial acumen to set up Globestar Energy FZE, a highly reputed name in base oil trade. Globestar is successfully trading all base oil grades and petrochemicals in MENA, Far East Asia, India and Africa. His past work experience includes senior sales and marketing positions at Elf Lubricants, TotalEnergies India, Reliance Industries and Diamond Petroleum.

Samer Akram
Director, Unichem

Samer Akram was born in Saudi Arabia and grew up in London, England, going on to study law and achieving his Bachelor of Laws (LLB), continuing as a postgraduate to complete a Legal Practice Course, and then Articles at a well-known London law firm, and was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in July 2003, practising law in England & Wales for over 10 years as a criminal litigator, before relocating to Durban, South Africa, to take up the role of Director of Operations at Unichem Services, a speciality lubricants, base stocks and chemicals distributor & lubricants manufacturer, servicing the lubricant and grease blenders in sub-Saharan Africa & the Middle East. In 2013, Unichem acquired Habot Oil, a dedicated, private label, fully synthetic lubricant blend plant located in Johannesburg, servicing the mining, aviation, processing, and heavy industries in Southern Africa. In 2017, Samer was appointed Managing Director of Habot Marine Services, the authorised distributor of ExxonMobil Marine Lubricants in South Africa & Mozambique. Over the last 10 years Unichem has established itself as a technology leader in Energy Efficient Lubricant Design. Through global partnerships and investment in local talent we have partnered with our customers to consistently deliver locally designed, blended, and marketed synthetic lubricants. Samer is a member of the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE), the South African Institute of Tribology (SAIT), the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa (IODSA) and The Law Society of England & Wales

Gabriella Twining
Global Editor - Base Oils, Argus

Gabriella is the global editor of Argus' Base Oils publication, leading the global editorial team and publishing the weekly report. She previously worked as a reporter in IHS Markit’s Maritime & Trade department covering all areas of shipping. And prior to that worked for several years at a ship management company in the Safety Security and Environment department.

Guo Harn Hong
Global Lead Base Oils, Argus

Guo Harn graduated from the National University of Singapore with First Class Honours in Economics. He was on the university’s Dean List in 2014/2015 and 2016/2017. Guo Harn also holds a diploma with highest distinction in Business Information Technology from Temasek Polytechnic. He was on the institute’s Director’s Honour’s List in 2009 and 2010.

Irina Vinogradova
Senior Manager - Consulting, Argus

Irina is a Senior Manager Consulting in the London office of Argus. She is responsible for the bespoke consulting work in the crude and refined products segment, including specialty products, with a focus on Europe and Africa. Irina has over 9 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to Argus, Irina was heading the European gas events portfolio of Fleming Group. Irina has an MSc in Energy, Trade & Finance from Cass Business School and wrote her master’s thesis together with Gazprom Marketing & Trading on small-scale LNG.
