The Middle East is a region of significant importance to the base oils and lubricants industries and the 2023 conference hosted the most important gathering of the region’s senior decision makers and key stakeholders.

Argus Base Oils Middle East Conference 2023 took place at the prestigious Conrad Dubai, a hotel under the Hilton brand located in the heart of Dubai city on Sheikh Zayed Road. Situated in the heart of Dubai’s financial and shopping district and just 10km from Dubai International Airport, the venue was a perfect meeting hub for delegates across the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
 
Across two days, attendees networked with representatives of the entire supply chain including base oils producers, lubricant blenders, additive and specialty chemical companies, traders and distributors, OEMs and more. Companies in attendance included Trafigura, Kemipex, United Grease & Lubricants, Nikol Energy, Shamrock Shipping & Trading, Mocoh, Chemlube, Penthol and more.

The two-day agenda included updates on regional supply, refinery turnarounds, the base oils outlook for 2024 and beyond, technical information on lubricant formulations and greases, plus features an Africa focus morning on day two to explore the new region of opportunities for the Middle East.
