Argus has launched price assessments for Russian thermal-sized coal exported to Poland
18 January 2019
International price reporting agency Argus Media in January launched price assessments for Russian grade D sized coal in Poland in the Argus Russian Coal report. The assessments are calculated monthly for washed and raw-sized coal of different grain sizes on a dap Brest basis. The prices are denominated in $/t. Argus assesses spot cargoes of Russian coal shipped by rail to Polish consumers.
The new assessments are the first independent reference prices in the Polish thermal coal market. These indexes are designed as an unbiased reference that enables prompt and accurate monitoring of the pricing environment.
